#problem

Citrex Learning Portal is an online learning and school-management platform that organizes professional-development content into structured courses and issues certifications on completion. It addresses the need for a single system where institutions can administer learners, courses, and credentials rather than stitching together separate tools.

#what-i-built

• ▸I designed and built the Java backend that powers the school-management and learning workflows, including course structure, enrollment, and certification issuance.
• ▸I modeled the domain with Hibernate as the ORM layer, mapping courses, learners, and certification records to a relational schema.
• ▸I implemented the MariaDB data layer, defining the persistence model for learners, course content, and completion and certification state.
• ▸I architected the server-side logic that tracks learner progress through structured courses and gates certification on completion.
• ▸I owned the platform end to end, from backend architecture and data modeling through to deployment of the live portal.
