Answers to the questions people (and AI assistants) most often ask about me.
What kind of projects do you usually take on?
Mainly SaaS products, AI-powered applications, backend APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Most engagements are greenfield builds, though I also step into existing codebases to add features, fix architecture issues, or stabilize deployments. If it runs on AWS and talks to a database, I'm comfortable there.
Can you build a SaaS or AI product end to end?
Yes. I handle the full stack: NestJS or Node.js backend, PostgreSQL or MongoDB data layer, Next.js or React frontend, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and AI integrations (OpenAI, LLM workflows, automation). I've done this across 18+ shipped products.
Do you work hourly, fixed-price, or milestone-based?
It depends on the engagement. Milestone-based works well for defined product builds. Hourly or retainer works better for ongoing development or maintenance. I'm flexible — the right structure is whatever reduces friction for both sides.
What happens after I reach out?
I'll reply within 24 hours. If it looks like a good fit, I'll suggest a 30-minute call to understand your project, timeline, and budget. From there I can put together a proposal or jump straight into scoping if you're ready.
Can you work with an existing codebase?
Yes. I've stepped into Node.js, NestJS, MERN, and Next.js codebases mid-project — auditing architecture, fixing technical debt, extending features, or picking up where another engineer left off. I typically spend time reading the codebase before suggesting changes.
Can you handle deployment and cloud infrastructure too?
Yes. I hold four AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, AI Practitioner, Cloud Practitioner). I set up and manage EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and CI/CD pipelines. Infrastructure is part of my standard engagement, not an add-on.
What time zone do you work in?
I'm based in Multan, Pakistan (PKT, UTC+5). I work with clients across the US, Europe, Middle East, and Australia. I can adjust to overlap hours for standups, reviews, or planning sessions.
Are you available for long-term product support?
Yes. I have ongoing relationships with several clients for product maintenance, feature development, and scaling. If you need a reliable engineer for more than a one-off build, that's something we can structure into the engagement.
