#problem

Pentutor is an EdTech platform that gives learners an interactive virtual classroom for online tutoring and lessons. It addresses the gap between static course content and live, engaging instruction by providing a single environment where tutors and students interact. The product is built on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) in JavaScript and runs on AWS.

#what-i-built

• ▸I architected the Pentutor platform end to end on the MERN stack, designing the MongoDB schema, the Express and Node.js API layer, and the React front end in JavaScript.
• ▸I built the Node.js and Express backend services that power the tutoring workflows, authentication, and the data exchanged between students and tutors.
• ▸I implemented the React front end for the virtual classroom experience, structuring the component hierarchy and client-side state for interactive learning sessions.
• ▸I designed the MongoDB data model to store users, courses, and session data for the e-learning platform.
• ▸I deployed and operated the application on AWS, owning the cloud infrastructure, hosting, and release pipeline from development through production.
